***KIRTANIYAS: BASSMANTRA*** are a global kirtan collective deeply rooted in ancient traditions and at the same time strongly influenced by contemporary pop culture. They now push the boundaries of genre to combine all of their passions into one new and unique sound called “BassMantra”: Melodious electronic dance music and subsonic bass meets the call and response singing of 5000 year old Indian Sanskrit mantras, accompanied by live acoustic instruments creating a new sound that synthesizes electro, bass, world and chant. Kirtaniyas: BassMantra had their debut performance at the 2012 Festival of Colors, Utah in front of 20.000 people. They are currently working on their first BassMantra EP and have collaborated with artists such as Cheb i Sabbah, MC Yogi, Jai Uttal, Kula Shaker, DJ Drez, DJ Sol Rising, Hiatus and others. .

***DJ DREZ*** delves into blending yesterday’s roots with the innovative urban beats of today. His gradual evolution from Hip Hop DJ to World Music Taste Maker has blossomed a litany of accomplishments that have garnered Drez the title as one of the highest ranking DJs and producers in LA’s underground music scene. When he isn’t in the studio producing, spinning at some underground Hip Hop club, or having impromptu late night jam sessions with local artists, you might find him on his mat. Drez is a certified yoga instructor who teaches privately in Los Angeles and spends time helping fellow musicians with their yoga practice at home and when away on tour. In addition, you will see him djing yoga retreats and world music festivals from Europe to Asia or catch the latest on his accomplishments in the pages of magazines ranging from The Source to Yoga Journal. None of this is unusual for a true renaissance man like DJ Drez.

***SRIKALA*** is an MC, DJ, music producer and percussionist. His progressive sound seams togther hip hop, reggae, dubstep and kirtan. With roots firmly planted in New York City and inspiration driven by the ethereal elements of chant and recall mantra, he creates a new blend of “East meets East.” Utilizing Ableton Live, Srikala spins together original music while improvising with live Indian percussion and ambient vocals. At the Institute of Audio Research in New York City, Srikala mastered audio engineering and has been playing percussion and leading kirtan for the last 8 years at yoga studios and temples all over the country. His devotion to bhakti is infused into his work. His musical direction charting new territory in the world of mainstream conscious music. He will be performing on mainstage at Bhakti Fest 2013.

**Malini Dance** is a classical Indian dancer. Under world famous Viji Prakash of the Shakti Dance Company, she has performed in productions for several years in the greater Los Angeles area. Malini strives to portray the deep devotional sentiments between the individual and the Divine through her ancient dance while embracing modern dance forms like hip hop, salsa, jazz and west African dance. To Malini, dance is a channel where your entire being; mind, body and soul, can transcend the material surroundings and bring one to a place where pure love, or Bhakti can be experienced. Through her dance, Malini invites all to let go, chant, and dance to the song of the soul.
