All glories to Sri Guru and Gauranga!
Theres something magical about touring around spreading the holy names of Sri Krsna. It is even more magical when you have an amazing soul like Brenda Mcmorrow with you sharing in spreading this love sound vibration.

A few weeks ago (April 9th-18th) we had an amazing opportunity to accompany and be accompanied by Brenda. Not only is her beautiful music catchy and alive, but its easy to tell just by spending 5 minutes with her that she pours her whole heart into it. Brenda flew down from Canada (thats right, they have Kirtan in Canada too!) and joined us here in Cali for 10 days of sharing sacred vibrations up and down the Coast.
We started our tour in the rich, rural suburbs of Laguna Beach at Yoga Works. After that it was a quick stop back to LA Rose Temple and then off to Yoga Soup in Santa Barbara for a wonderful night there! We were in the company of a super charged group of Kirtan enthusiasts that began to dance to the very first song! Many thanks to Sarah Garney for inviting us to Santa Barbara and also arranging the whole tour for us so nicely

After an eight hour drive up to Nevada City, we were finally relaxing at our good friend Jaganath’s house. The next day was our eagerly awaited Kirtan at Shuniaa Yoga Studio. Ok everyone…You all have to see a video of the crowd to understand the sheer bliss that was flowing in that room! To me it was the most high energy night to date. I think its the new standard in having a rocking time! We were so happy to have the support of many sweet friends and spiritual family in Nevada City. That night was just so ecstatic!!!
Next we drove to San Francisco where we spent 3 days. First we played a Live Music Yoga Class at Yoga Tree Castro with the wonderful Janet Stone, 60 Yogis and ecstatic high-energy vibes!
The next day we played at Open Secret Bookstore in San Rafael, Marine county. It was a night filled with uplifting, positive “radiance”.
We were joined by Ben Leinbach on bass and rocking cajon rhythms which were a definite addition to moving the crowd. It was a great night, especially because whoever attended that evening was full of delicious, consciousness uplifting prasadam! The halava was my favorite! Thanks Radhanath and Kilimba and Radiance Cuisine for that amazing meal, and amazing love. They also make the best chocolate Ladus btw!! You must try them if you get the chance.

The next day we played at Debbie Steingesser‘s yoga/dance class at Bernal Yoga in Frisco. She’s an absolute sweetheart! I dont know if it was her constant smiles, or if it was her charismatic uplifting nature, or both that made her class so pleasant to play in. I hope we can play there again!
We ended our North California tour playing at East West Bookstore. Most of the people there were new to Kirtan but they quickly showed their appreciation for it. We all chanted and danced the Swami step together. Jai Srila Prabhupad! I hope we were able to scratch the surface of their love for kirtan!

Five hours later we arrived in Los Angeles just in time for Mangal Arati! What a drive! Big thanks to Sarasvati and Brenda for pulling an all-nighter. We had two days of rest before our last Kirtan at Bhakti Yoga Shala. Vijay was off in Florida doing Kirtan with our Bhakti House family so he couldn’t join us that night. But what a night it was! Brenda was joined by Morgan Doctor on Drum, Philippo Franchini on guitar, and Moose Ali Khan on the hung drum. As usual, the lovely people at Bhakti Yoga Shala know Kirtan. If you have been to Kirtan in LA then you have probably been to the BYS. They just know how to dance and sing! Simple as that. LA is on a roll and its so nice to be back here with our family of friends.
Till next time, rock on!!!!
Jai Srila Gurudeva! Jai Srila Prabhupada!
JAI JAI SRI RADHEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
